Clear night in Cambridge

Yesterday was a very nice night here in Cambridge (quite rare). There was a disturbing moon, luckily not to high on the horizon. I have chosen a bright subject: the Triangulum Galaxy. This is the result of  only 45 min total exposure:

Modded Canon EOS 1100D at the prime focus of C8 (tracking not guided). 45x60 sec frames , 10 dark , ISO 800 stacked with DSS and processed with Gimp.

Then, this morning, I have stacked those shots together with other 60 one minute frames taken on 1/12/2013 in Binningen with an unmodified Canon 1100D and this is the result:

Modded Canon EOS 1100D  45x60 sec frames + Unmodded Canon EOS 1100D  60x60 sec frames (Total exposure = 105 min), 10 dark , ISO 800 stacked with DSS and processed with Gimp.
